It has been some time since I last posted in this blog. That is probably good news, meaning I don't really have much to complain about. I just retired at the end of Feb 2010, but have been trying to keep myself busy. The most immediate impact is the great load off the shoulder; no more heavy work responsibilities or tight dateline to keep; with much lower stress level and you can wake up at what ever time you feel like it. Currently, I'm conducting some weekly evening lecture at a Polytechnic. Guess sooner or later, I will probably still find something more substantial to do, perhaps some flexible part-time job to keep occupied. I have also went for a good holiday in Taiwan with my wife end of last month - it was quite enjoyable.
My right knee is holding up well - it is almost 3 years since my operation. Actually next month would be the 3rd anniversary. My left knee is generally also holding out well too, although there were occasional pain. Spoke to my doctor about this in Jan and he ordered another radiography check for both knees come Jul 2010. Hope the conditions don't deteriorate too soon. He advised to exercise the leg muscles regularly, preferably to swim more often rather than to jog/walk. Hope I can take his advice more diligently.
Not all of us can do great things during our lifetime, but we can surely do many small things with great passion and love.
